Suppressor adapter and mount types
These are the types behind the Adapter type filter on the suppressor comparison. The list covers the widely sold families named in the sources below. It is not every proprietary thread or mount. We add one when a feed or catalog names it.
- Tags, not guesses. A product shows a type only when our catalog tags it. Retailer feeds do not carry this field, so we never read it from product text.
- HUB is not a QD system. Many HUB (1.375×24) cans can take Plan B, KeyMo, ASR, HUXWRX QD and other mounts through a separately sold adapter. Filtering by one of those does not include every HUB can.
- Rearden Atlas is the HUB-side adapter that gives a can a Plan B taper. Choosing Plan B also shows Atlas-tagged cans.
- Check fit with the maker. Thread pitch, muzzle device and warranty rules vary. Confirm with the suppressor and muzzle-device makers before you buy.
How it attaches
- Direct thread
direct-thread - Can (or its rear adapter) threads straight onto the barrel threads, e.g. 1/2x28 or 5/8x24. Thread pitch itself is shown in the Mount spec, not this filter.[1][2][3]
- HUB / Bravo (1.375×24)
hub-bravo - Can rear is the 1.375×24 HUB thread, also called Bravo or Omega mount (SilencerCo, from the 2014 Omega 300). It accepts HUB adapters, but a HUB can is only listed under a QD ecosystem when the catalog tags it.[1][2][4][5]
- Piston / booster (Nielsen)
piston-booster - Spring-loaded booster and piston so tilting-barrel semi-auto pistols cycle with a can attached.[2][3][6]
- 3-lug (HK-style)
tri-lug - Tri-lug / 3-lug mount for MP5-type and other 3-lug hosts.[2][3][7][8]
- Fixed-barrel spacer
fixed-barrel-spacer - Replaces the booster spring so a pistol can runs on a fixed-barrel host (PCC, subgun).[2][3][9][8]
Named muzzle-device / mount ecosystems
- Plan B (Q / Cherry Bomb taper)
plan-b - Taper interface on the muzzle-device side (.900-24 thread on a 25-degree taper). HUB cans take it through a Plan B HUB adapter.[1][10][9][7][3][6]
- Rearden Atlas
rearden-atlas - Rearden's HUB-side adapter that presents a Plan B taper. Choosing Plan B in the filter also shows Atlas-tagged cans.[1][4][6]
- HUXWRX Torque Lock QD
huxwrx-qd - HUXWRX (formerly OSS) QD flash hiders and brakes; Torque Lock uses left-hand threads and may not work with other makers' "QD". The HUB-QD Adapter 2.0 lets 1.375×24 cans use these devices.[9][11][7]
- Dead Air KeyMo
keymo - Dead Air taper + ratchet-collar QD system; KeyMo-to-HUB adapters exist.[1][2][4][3][9]
- Dead Air Xeno
xeno - Dead Air's lighter taper mount with left-hand threads.[1][3][9]
- Dead Air KeyMicro
keymicro - Dead Air pistol-can rear mount (e.g. Wolfman, Ghost 45).[5][3]
- SilencerCo ASR
asr - Active Spring Retention QD over a taper; runs on the Bravo/HUB thread.[1][2][4][9]
- Griffin Plan A
griffin-plan-a - Griffin Armament HUB-based taper mount system.[1][4][3][9]
- Griffin CAM-LOK
griffin-cam-lok - Griffin pistol QD piston system with a 3-lug barrel adapter. HUXWRX says its CAM-LOK barrel adapter voids HUXWRX warranty.[12][1][9]
- Griffin EZ-LOK
griffin-ez-lok - Griffin names EZ-LOK as a more traditionally threaded, tighter-retention alternative to CAM-LOK.[12]
- Griffin DUAL-LOK
griffin-dual-lok - Named taper-locking interface. One source calls it Rugged's; Griffin Armament's own site sells DUAL-LOK silencers and muzzle devices, so we file it under Griffin.[6][12]
- SureFire SOCOM
surefire-socom - Ratcheting/latch collar over a tooth-timed SureFire muzzle device; a closed system.[1][6]
- YHM Phantom QD
yhm-phantom - Yankee Hill Machine Phantom QD (e.g. YHM-3060 HUB mount).[4][9][7]
- YHM sRx
yhm-srx - Yankee Hill Machine sRx mounting system.[4]
- Rugged Universal Mount (R.U.M.)
rugged-rum - Rugged Suppressors' universal mount (RUM-002 on HUXWRX's approved list).[9][7]
- CGS Clutch-Lok / Helios taper
cgs-clutch-lok - CGS taper-locking mounts. HUXWRX lists the CGS Helios taper as not compatible with Ventum.[6][9]
- Area 419 Hellfire
area419-hellfire - Hellfire mounts thread into many can rears (HUB, Charlie, Alpha, TBAC, Dead Air) and lock onto the Hellfire universal adapter (left-hand).[5]
- TBAC CB
tbac-cb - Thunder Beast CB mount pattern (e.g. Ultra 5/7/9 with CB mounts).[5]
- TBAC BA
tbac-ba - Thunder Beast BA (brake-attach) pattern, e.g. 30BA, 338BA, 338 Ultra.[5]
- Dead Air Sandman (proprietary rear)
dead-air-sandman - Sandman K/S/L rear; Sandman X is HUB instead.[5]
- SilencerCo Charlie rear
sico-charlie - SilencerCo Charlie rear (Saker, Chimera, Omega 36M, Velos).[5]
- SilencerCo Alpha (1.125×28)
sico-alpha - 1-1/8x28 rear-cap thread (e.g. Harvester 30, Omega 9K, Octane).[5][7]
- B&T Rotex
bt-rotex - B&T Rotex mounting ecosystem; Rotex HUB adapters exist.[3][4]
- CAT Apparition
cat-apparition - CAT's Apparition Instruments HUB-based mount system.[4]
